Spring Preserve

Grandma had a great idea to take the kids to the Spring Preserve in Las Vegas. Kayann and her family had joined us by then, so we packed all of the kids up with a picnic lunch and headed out for the day.

We saw some neat-o things.

*A snake exhibit:

*A train car:

*Some science exhibits:

*Examples of native Nevada homes:

* There was a sandbox that Calvin loved:

* Of course you need somewhere to cool off a little:

* The kids built a town:

* We played on a playground:

* We also witnessed an indoor flash flood (repeatedly), attended a venomous snake show, and did a half-hearted tour of the gardens. Luke had a tiny meltdown at the gate (I'm being sarcastic...it was more than tiny) but we had a great day!
