Memorial Day

Ken was out of town the week before Memorial Day, so we were excited to spend some family time together before the rest of the family abandoned Ken for Nevada. We took care of some necessary tasks in the morning (eye appointments, piano lessons, and such) before having some fun. Actually, Ken and I took Luke and Aidan to Holmes Lake while Reilly and Kadie had their piano lessons.

After we picked the girls up, we decided to continue our quest for a Lincoln Mexican restaurant worth patronizing. (We are still looking.) Lack of good Mexican food is one of my few quibbles with our current location.

Ken convinced me that we should take all of the kids to see The Avengers. It was a pretty good movie. (The male members of my family will not agree, but I was a little tired of all the “action” by the time the movie ended.) Luke’s favorite line from the movie, “Hulk…smash!”

We had family home evening, ice cream for dessert, and tucked the kids in bed. It was a pretty perfect day. (Except for the ridiculous amount I spent on contacts and eyeglasses.
