We left Lincoln early on a Tuesday after going to the middle school to register for access to the grading/attendance database, which we could only do on that very day or one the following week which we would be hundreds of miles away for. We also had to go pick up our rental van and pack it. Our ancient van was willing to give the drive a try, but we were fearful of its chances of making it to Idaho in one piece.
We drove all the way to Laramie the first day. We could have made it farther, but we've never driven from Nebraska to Idaho, so we didn't know. It gave us time to play before the next full day of driving. We camped and it rained all over us. We almost had the tent set up before the torrent descended. Ken got soaked performing the finishing touches on our shelter. (Thank you daddy!)
We drove and drove and drove the next day. There isn't really much to see in Wyoming, is there? I made Ken stop for some sit down restaurant Mexican food in Brigham City. That helped tide the kids over until Grandma and Grandpa Hessing's house. (They were getting a little insane by that point.)
