Father's Day

Aidan started asking me when Father's Day was before Mother's Day. I couldn't figure out why he was SO excited for it. I mean, I know he likes his Dad and all, but he was asking me every other day. On Father's Day I finally got a clue. He had made a card for his Dad in school and smuggled it home in his back pack when school had finished for the year.

It says:
My daddy is the most wonderful daddy in the world!
He is as handsome as a--lion.
He is as strong as a--riocerus (rhinoceros).
He can lift--8--lbs.
And is--17 feet--tall.
His favorite food is--pizza.
His favorite activity is--basketball.
In the good old days when daddy was little, he used to--watch Star Wars almost everyday.
I think my daddy looks funny when he--acts funny.
But I know he is really mad when he--did something wrong.
Happy Father's Day!

So Ken got some great cards and they passed out cookies in Church. We also gave him some St. Louis cardinal gear and a Husker hat. We are slowly trying to pick up the native Nebraskan lingo and customs...Go Big Red!
