The kids had three while snow days last week! This after a Nebraska native told me Monday night that they rarely cancel school here. It starting snowing Monday night and didn't stop all of Tuesday. Kadie's friend came over to see if she wanted to go play in the snow. Unfortunately, I didn't have my children properly outfitted for a Nebraska winter yet. She went out, but came back 15 minutes later, in tears, because she was so cold. Mostly, we just hung out inside.
After it stopped snowing, the wind started to blow. It got really cold. The plus side...after a day of wind, this is my sidewalk...

I also found out that a rock chip can turn into a full blown windshield crack if it is cold enough. We're pretty cold, but it's supposed to warm-up over the next few days (that really just means that the temperature won't be dipping below zero. Goody!)
