Christmas Eve Ken took the day off...from going in to work (he still logged in a few hours from home.) We reenacted the Christmas story...kind of. Some of the boys in our family thought the costumes were too much like dresses and some thought they weren't enough like dresses. Then we watched It's a Wonderful Life. The kids made up a plate of cookies for Santa and donned their Christmas PJ's, courtesy of Grandma Hessing.
*Aidan declined to have his picture taken. He had had enough Christmas Cheer for the day, but I did manage to sneak one in the next morning.
Kadie and Reilly got up at around 6:30 a.m. Not too bad a time. They got dressed and helped me make breakfast. Then I let them go through their stockings before we woke up their brothers.
